Preparation and Photoluminescent Properties of Tb3+-Doped Lu2W3O12 and Lu2Mo3O12 Green Phosphors

Tungstate and molybdate phosphors have received great attention for their excellent photoluminescent properties thermal stabilities. In the article, Tb3+-activated tungstate green were prepared by a solid-state reaction method at different caline temperatures compared studied. The crystal structures morphologies of samples characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) images. energy-dispersive spectra (EDS) proved compositions samples. photoluminescence (PL) showed that PL excitation Tb3+-doped Lu2W3O12 Lu2Mo3O12 consisted broad strong charge transfer band (CTB) 4f–5d transitions Tb3+ in ultraviolet (UV) wavelength range some narrowed peaks from 4f–4f transition near (NUV) region. exhibited characteristic emissions owing to 5D4→7F5 located about 547 nm. values energy gap Eg calculated based on diffuse reflection (DRS). measuring temperature-dependent illustrated stabilities phosphors. phosphor presented normal quenching phenomena activation Ea temperature dependent spectra. abnormal enhancing CTB intensity 170 °C. Furthermore, decay curves suggested lifetime corresponding 5D4 level host lattice was longer than lattice. Compared phosphor, has shown potential as an application sensors.
